Tielka Wins Astonishing Eight Trophies in the Golden Leaf Awards

It has been hailed as the most competitive year yet with more than three hundred entries for Golden Leaf Awards, and Tielka has walked away with an astonishing eight trophies.

"I’m absolutely delighted", says co-founder and managing director, Rebecca Domorev. "Tielka is a family owned business. We started it in 2009. We’ve always known Tielka’s tea collection is at the top our segment - the café and specialty food market. This competition puts you at heads with some of the greatest tea artisans in the world. I was curious how our teas would stack up. They blew everyone away."

The awards have not only made Tielka the most successful entrant into the competition, but also the most highly awarded tea bag collection in Australia.

Head judge and Certified Tea Master, Sharyn Johnson, called Rebecca in person to relay the good news. "This year we had some incredible tea professionals as judges... and with so many entries, including international ones, it has proven to be a world class competition. We were really impressed by Tielka. Congratulations! Australia needs more companies like Tielka," said Sharyn.

Tielka received six gold and two silver awards.
