    Notes from the Founder

"How about we call it pink lemonade!" I announce with great enthusiasm.

I'm sure I've hit the nail on the head this time, it's perfectly brilliant! Right? Yes? Ok, please, please just this once, maybe?

Nope, I'm being too hopeful. No. Definitely not. Shot down again.

They'll think we're selling soft drink, is the response. My darling husband, we have this wonderful way of, how do I say it? Working together. Unfortunately, his feedback is usually right. I grit my teeth and go back to the drawing board.

I love the idea of pink lemonade, so I'm not giving up yet.

It's a happy place for me and I know it's coming from the 1980s, I can see an old pic, clearly filtered by a dose of Instagram. There's a kid standing next to a boxy navy blue Ford station wagon wearing tiny red shorts, a stripy yellow t-shirt that's slightly too small, and a fringe that really, it belongs in the 1980s and should stay there. And the kid is holding a bottle of Old Fashioned Pink Lemonade. The kid's smile says it's even better than a new Barbie Doll because frankly, we know that's never going to happen.

But this is Tielka, after all, a new era of joy. It's time to fancy things up a bit and pink lemonade is going to have to fall in line.

Unfortunately, pink lemonade sounds rubbish in French, no fancy pants translation there. Take two is Italian and hold a tick, this is fabulous! The Italian version even uses a word that sounds like rose (you guessed it, this one has a dash of rose added!).

My happiness is complete, Limonada Rosa is fabulous, and here to stay.

    Happy brewing!
