This beautiful sip is not pink champagne, it’s an herbal tea! A refreshing blend called Limonada Rosa provided by @tielkatea infused in sparkling water. Amazing, right? When I first tried this lively blend of lemon myrtle, lemongrass, hibiscus, and rose petals, the color reminded me of rosé wine. The tangy citrus flavors are great for summer and I wanted to try cold brewing it. But instead I was inspired to pop a few teaspoons into sparkling water, wait a couple hours, and see what happened. The result felt like magic! Want to try it? You’ll need either a small bottle of seltzer or sparkling water, I prefer the finer bubbles of sparkling water. Add 2-3 teaspoons of tea (depending on how much water you’ve got) put the cap back on, and let sit 2-3 hours in the fridge. You can go much longer but this tea was perfect at 2 hours, and I didn’t want to lose too much carbonation since I had already opened the bottle. The sparkling Limonada Rosa is bubbly, tangy, and sweet without adding any sweeteners. And it looks like pink champagne!! Don’t want to steep in carbonated water? Do a double strength hot brew, cool to room temp, and add a few splashes of bubbly water and ice. I’d love to try this method with other herbals and also teas. What should I try next?
