Rebecca Domorev founded Tielka in 2009 with one conviction: that tea drinkers deserved something genuinely worth their morning.

She has spent sixteen years sourcing exceptional organic teas, building relationships with fair trade growers in the Hubei and Yunnan Provinces in China, and creating blends that have won 49 awards — including Organic Tea Company of the Year three consecutive years running.

The business has always been anchored by something more personal than the product. When her third son, Andrew, arrived unexpectedly with Down syndrome in 2018, the morning ritual she had quietly built over the years became the thing that carried her.

Rebecca lives with her husband and three boys in Agnes Water, Queensland — a small beachside town on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef.
