Post Hope

A week has passed since I last wrote You've Got This (thank you for all your beautiful messages in response!). Isolation has now become real for many of us and the craziness and uncertainty continue to grow. If you're like me, you're wondering how much longer this will last.

The last couple of days I started thinking about what we can do, what we have on hand, and we came up with this crazy idea.

In our Tielka warehouse, we have thousands of blank postcards, sitting in a box. Until a week or two ago, we were printing the Tielka story on them and sending them to cafes with their tea orders. (We send some to you too!)

Post Hope

Here's where the idea grows. I'm not sure about you, but I have this precious pile of little notes in my drawer - those special messages of love on paper from friends and family. They mean the world to me. This pile stopped growing a few years ago, I guess comments and likes on social media replaced them.

Interestingly, the likes and comments fade pretty quickly, but those notes - I re-read them every now and then and it's often the encouragement I need to keep going, I don't feel alone.

This idea we've created is called Post Hope and I would love you to be part of this. I'm inviting you to create a message to send to someone you love. We know it's tricky for you at the moment being in isolation, but we can put your message on one of our blank postcards and post it for you to almost anywhere in the world.

I think this could really do something special - something tangible that's not just on a screen. It's a message they can touch and remember for years. It can put a smile on someone's face, give them the hope they need to keep going. With all the isolation we're being faced with, this could make all the difference.

If you want to do this, type your message in at Post Hope. Type the recipient's address at the checkout and pay $5 to cover the cost. We'll print your message out and post it for you. We'll also include one of our award-winning pyramid teabags for your loved one to enjoy.

Writing your message will take just five minutes of your time and could be just what someone needs right now.
