Certification

Tielka is certified organic with EU (AU-BIO-001) and Australian Certified Organic (ACO Cert. No. 13123).

Tielka is also Fairtrade certified(FLO ID 23557).

All teas and herbal teas in the Tielka collection are both Fairtrade and organic certified.

Origins

Tielka sources ingredients from Australia and around the world with a focus on direct trade where possible.

Tielka's black and white teas are sourced from the Yunnan Province in China. Tielka's green and oolong teas are sourced from the Hubei Province in China. We have been partnering with these same Fairtrade certified growers since Tielka was founded in 2009.

Tielka sources some herbs, including peppermint and lemongrass from Fairtrade certified growers in Egypt. We have been partnering with these growers since the beginning of 2017.

Tielka began partnering with Fairtrade certified growers in India at the end of 2020 who are now supplying us with cinnamon and ginger.

We are very proud to source some locally grown ingredients in various regions in Australia, including lemon myrtle (QLD), lavender (VIC) and pepperberries (TAS). We are gradually increasing locally grown ingredients in our products as they become available and we are able to integrate them into our products.

Tielka sources natural bergamot oil from Italy.

All other ingredients are sourced through local certified organic importers from various locations around the world.

Yes! We don't just supply our tea in loose leaf format, we also package it in stunning plant-based pyramid tea bags.

All Tielka products are packaged with love by real people and clever technology in our warehouse in Agnes Water, Queensland, Australia.

For orders over $50AUD, we offer free shipping almost anywhere in the world.

International restrictions and disruptions due to COVID-19 are still impacting most postal services.

Due to limited flights, parcels typically spend a few days progressing through a queue at the airport before they are placed on an international flight.

As the parcel moves through the queue, the tracking update reads "processed by air carrier".

This update may be repeated many times or may not change for several days.

This is normal.

It can seem like your order is stuck, however, it is waiting to be placed on a flight.

Once a parcel is placed on a flight, delivery usually occurs within a few days.

We usually dispatch orders within 24-48 hours.

For destinations within Australia, standard shipping is 4-8 business days from dispatch. Express shipping is 2-3 business days from dispatch.

For destinations outside Australia, please check out International Delivery Updates according to your location.

Some orders are sent as letters (e.g. samples, tea subscriptions), not parcels. If an order is sent as a letter, it won't have a tracking number.
