New things are happening at Tielka!
Firstly, we are excited to announce the release of Australian-grown infusions to the Tielka range!
Lil' Licorice - GOLD AWARD
A stunning blend of Australian aniseed myrtle, Australian lemon myrtle, Australian fennel seeds, Australian eucalyptus leaves, and lemongrass.
A healing blend of Australian eucalyptus leaves, Australian calendula, Australian lemon myrtle, and lemongrass.
Secondly, we would like to inform you our way of ethical sourcing is changing.
The understanding of ethical sourcing has grown over the years. At Tielka, the foundation has always been on ethical sourcing from our growers, and we have always partnered, where possible, with Fairtrade producers.
After extensive consultation with our most beloved customers, we now recognise that ethical sourcing means so much more, from packaging to food miles, and considering our business partners. Over the last few years, we have been making changes to ensure packaging is environmentally friendly. More recently, we have started partnering with more Australian growers, supporting local farmers, while also reducing food miles.
To support these changes and ensure we can still support our own Tielka family, from today, September 22nd, Tielka is officially retiring Fairtrade certification and use of the Fairtrade label.
We are still 100% committed to our Fairtrade certified producers who we have been working with since we commenced Tielka in 2009. Their incredible handcrafted teas are at the heart of Tielka's most beloved flavours. The following teas will continue to use the same beautiful Fairtrade-certified black tea, green tea, oolong tea, and white tea:
As a family-owned and run business, we are so grateful for your continued support as we bring you the best beautiful organic tea and infusions.
We invite you to check out our Australian-grown infusions:

Are you still on high alert every time your throat starts to feel a tinge of soreness?
Do you prefer a natural remedy over pharmacy-bought products?
You'll be happy to know ginger already hiding in your cupboard or fridge may help prevent and treat that sore throat.
"A sore throat occurs when the throat is red and swollen. It is a common symptom of a viral or bacterial infection, such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and laryngitis. Swallowing can be especially difficult and painful, and the back of the throat can feel itchy, dry, or scratchy. Acid, chemical irritation, and reflux can also cause a sore throat."
