How Many Calories in a Cup of Tea?

by Rebecca Domorev March 04, 2020 1 min read

Good news! In a cup of tea, there are ZERO calories!

So long as you don't add any sugar or milk, your beautiful cup of tea will gain no extra calories and you can enjoy it entirely guilt-free.

Even better news, Tielka teas have a beautiful gentle sweetness, our customers often tell us they are surprised they don't need to add milk or sugar. We recommend trying our smooth and malty Tielka Breakfast Black Tea or naturally sweet Limonada Rosa Herbal Infusion.

Do you like adding milk or sugar to your cup?

If you prefer some full-cream milk, you're likely to add around 30 calories per cup of tea.

For every teaspoon of sugar you add, count an extra 16 calories.

So whether you like your tea with nothing added, or with a little milk or sugar, it's a lovely way to treat yourself without worrying about the extra calories.

Do you feel yourself breathing a sigh of relief as you close the chapter on 2021?

Have you already mentally bundled up 2020 with 2021 as you look forward with cautious anticipation for 2022?

Interestingly, the 31st of December in 2020 and 2021 are not the only years I have noticed an influx of "good riddance" posts on social media about the preceding 12 months. Remember in 2019 looking forward to 2020 with "2020 vision"?
