Tielka wins again at 2019 Golden Leaf Awards

Tielka has won an incredible 9 medals at the 2019 Golden Leaf Awards, eclipsing Tielka's incredible 2018 result of 8 medals.

Across 8 categories, Tielka won two bronze, one silver and 6 gold awards. This brings the total tally over two years to two bronze, three silver and 12 gold.

A particularly proud win for Tielka was the bronze medal in the black tea (blended - non flavoured) category, a highly competitive category where Tielka won bronze for their 2018 harvest Tielka Breakfast Black Tea. "Unfortunately we were not able to enter a 2019 harvest sample, as it was still in harvest, but the fact that the 2018 harvest sample still raised eye-brows and got an incredible result is testament to the level of quality that the Tielka tea collection brings.", says founder Rebecca Domorev. All of Tielka's black teas use Tielka Breakfast Black Tea as a base for their blends.

For the second year, Tielka has won big in the teabag category, taking home six medals, including four gold, one silver and two bronze. For the first time, Tielka entered their Lemon Ginger Herbal Infusion, which won silver, just behind Tielka's best-seller Limonada Rosa Herbal Infusion, which won gold.

The results have cemented Tielka's position as having Australia's most highly awarded tea bag collection, with a total nine gold, two silver and one bronze for their teabags alone.

"It's fantastic that we can offer a tea collection housed in plastic-free, biodegradable, plant-based teabag fabric, but to hold so many awards really does show the world that Tielka is something special. After 10 years of dedicated hard work and determination to succeed, this is such an encouragement as it speaks volumes to our customers. And if our customers can have a beautiful moment in their day with Tielka tea every day, I feel like the joy that this will bring makes it so worthwhile", says Rebecca Domorev.

You look at it with anticipation. Bursting with antioxidants. Promises of weight-loss. Youth. Longevity. Good health all packaged in a cute box sitting on your kitchen bench. You're a little dubious. That formidable bitter green tea seaweed flavour is still burned into your palate. Will this fancy green tea turn out better than your last purchase? Or will it disappear to the back of your cupboard with your old dried mung beans and tapioca flour?
