10,030 people between the age of 40 and 69 were recruited for the research and took part in a food frequency questionnaire.
The conclusion is super-encouraging for everyone. High consumption of green tea was associated with a 44% lower odds ratio for abdominal obesity.
High green tea consumption was defined as ≥4 cups/week.
